WASHINGTON, DC -- U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) today issued the following statement strongly supporting President Bush’s veto of the Iraq spending bill:
“Today, with his veto, President Bush sent a clear message to our enemies, America will not surrender to al Qaeda in Iraq. Democrats in Congress should set aside partisan politics and give General Petraeus and our men and women in battle the resources they need to win.”
