Michelle Pfeiffer: Michelle Pfeiffer Receives Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
07 August 2007 -- Michelle Pfeiffer received her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in an August 6 ceremony in front of the Hollywood & Highland Center.
The 49-year-old star of such films as Scarface, The Fabulous Baker Boys, and Dangerous Liaisons thanked her mother and father for supporting her decision to become an actress.
Speaking about her mother, she said "She taught me that I could do anything and that I should have a career before I got married." She said her father "taught me that you can make something of yourself if you work hard."
The three-time Academy Award nominee is currently seen as the villanous Velma Von Tussle in "Hairspray," and will portray the evil witch Laima in "Stardust," opening August 10 in the United States.
Also appearing at the ceremony were her "Baker Boys" co-star Jeff Bridges and Paul Rudd, her co-star in the upcoming romantic comedy "I Could Never Be Your Woman."
"You are two of the nicest men on the planet," she told them.
