NEW YORK, Oct. 1 -- COMEDY CENTRAL(R) plays a mean game of football in "Reel Comedy: The Comebacks." This half-hour special premieres on Tuesday, October 16 at Midnight.*
COMEDY CENTRAL's "Reel Comedy: The Comebacks" is hosted by comedian Paul F. Tompkins, who goes head-to-head with the film's star, Dave Koechner, on a football field to celebrate the film's riotous spoof of serious-minded sports movies. Tompkins and Koechner engage in some tactile athletics, dish about the films spoofed in the movie and teach each other about good sportsmanship. Tompkins also talks to the film's other stars, Matthew Lawrence and Brooke Nevin, about how hard it is to play it straight when doing very stupid things. Fox Atomic's "The Comebacks" opens in theaters on October 19.
Encore presentations air Wednesday, October 17 at Noon and 4:30 p.m., Thursday, October 18 at 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. and Friday, October 19 at 3:30 p.m.
