Meredith Vieira, Former Moderator of "The View," Returns for Her First Guest Appearance, Live, October 8

Wednesday, October 03, 2007 -- Meredith Vieira, who spent nine years as moderator and co-host of "The View," returns to the show, live, Monday, Oct. 8 for her first guest appearance. Ms. Vieira will be promoting the DVD game of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" and will be interviewed by all five co-hosts. "The View" airs Monday-Friday, 11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET, on the ABC Television Network.
Additional guests this week include Anderson Cooper ("Planet in Peril"), Tracy Morgan ("30 Rock"), Anne Heche (ABC's "Men in Trees"), Angie Harmon (ABC's "Women's Murder Club") and musical guests Sara Evans and Paul Anka.
"The View" features Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd. It's the original forum in which real women discuss everyday issues and share their no-holds-barred opinions and engage in colorful conversations. Since its launch, "The View" has received 22 Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Talk Show. The show has received numerous nominations, including ten consecutive nominations for Outstanding Daytime Talk Show and Outstanding Talk Show Host.
