Adult Swim Posts Highest October Total Day Delivery in Basic Cable History with Adults 18-34
Adult Swim Extends 2007 Streak to 10 Straight Months
October 30, 2007 -- Adult Swim raised the delivery bar once more in October with an all-time total day delivery record for ad-supported basic cable with adults 18-34, according to preliminary data from Nielsen Media Research. Year to date, Adult Swim has ranked #1 in total day delivery of adults 18-34 for ten months, and #1 among adults 18-24 and men 18-24 across the year. The late-night network ranked #2 in total day delivery of men 18-34, behind ESPN.
Compared to its performance in October last year, Adult Swim's total programming day (Monday-Saturday, 11 p.m.-6 a.m.; Sunday, 10 p.m.-6 a.m.) delivered +5% more adults 18-34 and +4% more men 18-34. Adult Swim also out-performed the prime time young-adult performance of Nick-at-Nite, FX, Discovery, Spike, Sci-Fi and 64 other networks.
Adult Swim (AdultSwim.com), launched in 2001, is Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.'s network offering original and acquired animated comedy and action series for young adults. Airing overnight 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday (ET, PT), Adult Swim shares channel space with Cartoon Network, home to the best in original, classic and acquired programming for children and families, and is seen in 91 million U.S. homes.
