John McCain: Additional Oklahoma Leaders Endorse John McCain For President

February 1, 2008 -- ARLINGTON, VA -- U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today announced the support of prominent Oklahoma leaders. These individuals will be added to Senator McCain's Oklahoma Steering Committee and join a growing grassroots organization leading up to Oklahoma's February 5th Primary.

"John McCain's conservative convictions and principled leadership are what our nation needs right now. He is the only candidate prepared to be Commander in Chief. Americans and Oklahomans will recognize that with their vote on February 5th," said Bill Price, former U.S. Attorney and Republican Gubernatorial candidate.

"There has been a surge in Oklahoma business leaders who support John McCain for president. John McCain's long history of fighting wasteful spending and supporting free market solutions to economic problems make him the best choice for president," said McCain's Business Co-Chair, Howard Barnett. Mr. Barnett formerly served as the Oklahoma Secretary of Commerce.

John McCain thanked his Oklahoma Steering Committee, saying, "I am pleased to have the backing and support of these prominent Republican leaders. My campaign will benefit from their hard work and energy as we work towards a victory in Oklahoma."
