Minnesota Twins to Launch Second 2008 Twins Territory TV Ad

Spot to begin airing the week of March 10

03/10/2008, MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Twins, in conjunction with advertising partner Periscope, today announced the second television commercial of the 2008 "This is Twins Territory" campaign will begin airing the week of March 10.

The second ad of the 2008 season is entitled "Park Center" and features Twins reliever and Minnesota native Pat Neshek along with students from his former high school, Park Center High in Brooklyn Park. In the spot, Pat participates in a question and answer session with kids on a field trip for "Pat Neshek Day at the Dome," but to his dismay, all of the questions are about a popular teammate.

The final two spots in the Minnesota Twins' 2008 "This is Twins Territory" television campaign feature new Twins outfielder Delmon Young, Twins legend Tony Oliva, Hall of Famers Harmon Killebrew and Rod Carew and the team's pitching corps.

The highly acclaimed "This is Twins Territory" ad campaign has earned two 2007 regional Emmys, two National Sports Forum Achievement awards in 2007 and second runner-up for the Overall Advertising Excellence award, the 2006 Silver Effie Award for the sporting events category, two 2006 regional Emmys, four National Sports Forum Achievement awards including Overall Advertising Excellence award in 2006, two RAC awards (Retail Advertising and Marketing Association) and a logo category finalist designation in the 2006 AIGA Minnesota Design Show.

Fans can view the first two 2008 commercials at TwinsBaseball.com. The two remaining 2008 television spots will debut in the coming weeks.
