DoD Identifies Army Casualty: Staff Sgt. Jason L. Brown, 29, of Magnolia, Texas
April 19, 2008 -- The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Staff Sgt. Jason L. Brown, 29, of Magnolia, Texas, died April 17 in Sama Village, Iraq, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked using small arms fire and grenades.
He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, Ky.
