DoD Identifies Marine Casualty: Cpl. William J. L. Cooper, 22, of Eupora, Mississippi
May 20, 2008 -- The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Cpl. William J. L. Cooper, 22, of Eupora, Mississippi, died May 19 while supporting combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2d Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
