Mass-Transit Funds for Colorado under Omnibus Appropriation Act
Udall and Bennet Fought to Include Funding for FasTracks, CASTA
December 14, 2009 -- Mark Udall and Michael Bennet, U.S. Senators for Colorado joined the full Senate late yesterday in approving an Omnibus Appropriations bill that includes more than $97 million for Colorado transportation projects.
Senators Udall and Bennet fought for the funding to expand FasTracks and improve transportation across the Denver metro area and help improve bus service in communities across the state.

$387 Million to Hawaii under Omnibus Spending Package
December 13, 2009 -- WASHINGTON – Hawaii will receive $387,072,035 for an array of critical initiatives including building and repairing roads, diversifying transportation options, refurbishing schools, expanding curriculums, funding scientific research, protecting endangered species and habitats, and subsidizing the work of law enforcement, Senate Appropriations Chairman Daniel K. Inouye announced today.
The money for Hawaii projects is part of a consolidated appropriations bill accounting for the needs of nine federal agencies that had to pass before a stopgap funding measure expires December 18. » read more »

Byrd, D-W.Va., today announced that Congress has passed and sent to President Obama for his signature the FY 2010 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations bill. The measure includes funding for key priorities offered by Senator Byrd, totaling more than $95 million for West Virginia’s military installations.

Alaska Gains Millions for Vital Projects in Budget Bill Approved by Senate; Includes NOAA, Military Construction, Transportation
December 14, 2009 -- From millions of dollars worth of improvements to Alaska fisheries management to expansion of military facilities to support Alaska-based servicemen and women, U.S. Senator Mark Begich today supported final passage of the Omnibus Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2010.
The $446.8 billion bill passed the Senate today by a vote of 57 - 35 and now goes to the President's desk for final approval.

Murtha, Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense, announced today that the U.S. House of Representatives has passed a $446.8 billion Omnibus Appropriations Bill that includes funding for projects and programs throughout western Pennsylvania.
This legislation wraps up work on the remaining non-defense fiscal year 2010 appropriations bills (excluded from this bill are the FY10 Defense Appropriations bill, which will be considered next week, and those appropriation bills already signed into law) and must still pass the Senate before it heads to the President for his signature.
