PSE&G accepting proposals for Solar 4 All Program’s Third-Party-Owned Segment

Site owners to be paid rent for the use of their property for utility-owned installations; Segment is part of a program that will double installed solar capacity in New Jersey

(October 12, 2009 - Newark, N.J.) PSE&G is soliciting proposals from developers and third-party-owned sites for the development of 5 megawatts of roof and ground-mounted solar systems to be owned by PSE&G and that will provide rental income to property owners. Solar developers, together with owners of real estate located in the utility’s electric service territory, will propose sites for solar installations. Owners will receive rent for roof-mounted, building-mounted, and ground-mounted solar systems installed on their properties and connected directly into the electric grid.    » read more »

PSE&G to expand energy efficiency programs

Approval of $190 million program expected to create about 700 green jobs; Hospital segment to expand significantly

July 1, 2009 – Newark, NJ - Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) today received approval to invest an additional $190 million to bring energy efficiency measures to residential customers, multi-family affordable housing units, municipal buildings and businesses such as cash-strapped hospitals.

Approved by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, the Energy Efficiency Economic Stimulus Program is expected to also boost the economy by creating an estimated 688 “green” utility and contractor jobs during the next two years.    » read more »

PSE&G Proposes To Lower Winter Residential Natural Gas Bills, Raise Delivery Charges

Company files for modest increases in electric and gas delivery charges to take effect next year

(Newark, NJ – May 29, 2009) Citing the continuing decrease in the wholesale cost of natural gas, PSE&G has proposed to lower residential gas bills this fall by about 7 percent, or about $10 per winter month for a residential gas customer using 100 therms. The company’s annual filing with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities will result in the third bill decrease since January 1, 2009, for a total reduction of 18 percent, or $30, since October 2008.    » read more »
