Dallas, Texas, Wall, New Jersey, September 14, 2009 -- AT&T* and Centennial Communications Corp. (NASDAQ: CYCL) announced today that, assuming timely satisfaction or waiver of all remaining closing conditions including receipt of the required regulatory approvals, they now anticipate the pending acquisition of Centennial by AT&T to be completed early in the fourth quarter of calendar year 2009. On November 7, 2008, the two companies entered into an agreement under which AT&T would acquire Centennial. CHICAGO (July 2, 2009) -- Exelon Corporation (NYSE:EXC) today announced an increase in its offer to acquire all of the outstanding NRG common stock in an all-stock transaction with a fixed exchange ratio of 0.545 of a share of Exelon common stock for each NRG share, a 12.4 percent increase over the initial exchange offer of 0.485. CHICAGO (June 22, 2009) – The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York today ruled that the remaining allegations raised in a suit filed by NRG Energy, Inc. (NYSE:NRG) on March 17 are without merit.
The court had earlier dismissed other allegations in NRG’s lawsuit. By order dated June 19, the judge rejected NRG’s remaining claim that Exelon Corporation (NYSE:EXC) does not intend to complete the exchange offer according to its terms and entered judgment in favor of Exelon. » read more »
Boeing Completes eXMeritus Purchase
ST. LOUIS, June 22, 2009 – The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] has completed its acquisition of eXMeritus Inc., a Fairfax, Va.-based company that provides hardware and software to federal government and law enforcement organizations for sharing information securely across classified and unclassified networks and systems.
eXMeritus will operate within Boeing Integrated Defense Systems' Network and Space Systems unit. The acquisition, announced on June 15, 2009, is part of Boeing's strategy to expand its presence in the cyber and intelligence markets. Terms of the transaction are not being disclosed. » read more »
