5/7/2008 -- CNN Mobile has won a Webby People’s Voice Award for Best Mobile News Site of 2008, it was announced this week by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. The academy presents the Webby Awards, a leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet, including Web sites, interactive advertising, online film and video and mobile Web sites.
For the 12th Annual Webby Awards, the academy received nearly 10,000 entries from all 50 states and more than 60 countries worldwide. Winners will be honored at a star-studded gala in New York City on June 10. 4/7/2008 -- Byron Harmon has been appointed to the newly created position of senior executive producer at CNN International to coordinate the global network’s live news programming and breaking news coverage, it was announced today by Katherine Green, senior vice president for CNN International programming.
Based in Atlanta, Harmon will coordinate all of CNN International’s live news programming output from the network’s main production centers in London, Hong Kong and Atlanta as well as directing breaking news coverage.

CNN Election Express Parks in Philadelphia as Network’s Newest Mini-Bureau
3/26/2008 -- Following a campaign coverage strategy of creating mini-bureaus in key political battleground states, CNN has parked the CNN Election Express in Philadelphia this week to create a full-time reporting presence for the April 22 Pennsylvania primary.
In the weeks leading up to the primary, the Election Express will serve as CNN’s production and newsgathering center, providing a newsroom for up to 20 journalists as well as a studio for interviews and satellite transmission equipment. By stationing the mobile news bureau in Philadelphia, the network positions itself to offer its signature and unmatched political coverage.
