Kentucky Governor Beshear Directs Flags to Half-Staff

January 27, 2008 -- FRANKFORT, KY – Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear has directed that flags at all state office buildings remain at half staff. SGT Tracy Renee Birkman, 41, of New Castle Virginia, died Jan. 25 in Owesat, Iraq, from non-combat related njuries. She was assigned to the 626th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division from Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Flags are currently at half-staff in honor of a Fort Campbell soldier who died Jan. 19 supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.    » read more »

January 25, 2008 -- FRANKFORT, KY – Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear has directed that flags at all state office buildings be raised to full-staff at sunset Sunday, Jan. 27. Flags are currently at half-staff in honor of a Fort Campbell soldier who died Jan. 19 supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
