New Poll Shows Hillary Clinton Continues to Lead Among Latino Voters

12/6/2007 -- Hillary Clinton continues to lead all Democratic presidential contenders among Hispanic voters -- by 44 points, according to a new poll released today by the Pew Hispanic Center. The poll also found that most Hispanics view the Democratic Party as the one that shows more concern for Latinos. In addition, the report found that at a rate of 3 to one, Latinos believe that the Bush administration’s policies have been harmful to Hispanics.

Hillary Clinton: Clinton Statement on National Latino AIDS Awareness Day

10/15/2007 -- According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Hispanics in the United States are disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS. Although Hispanics comprised 13 percent of the U.S. population in 2005, they accounted for 19 percent of new HIV/AIDS diagnoses. Hispanic women are especially vulnerable. The CDC reports that their infection rate was more than five times higher than that of white women in 2005.
