Kureha Corp. to produce revolutionary polymer in West Virginia
Dec. 18, 2007 -- TOKYO -- Kureha Corp. of Tokyo today announced it will invest more than $100 million to build a plant in Belle, W.Va., that will produce and sell the groundbreaking, high-performance polymer, polyglycolic acid (PGA).
Construction of the production facility, which will be at the DuPont site, is expected to start in early 2008 with polymer production to begin in early 2010. The first phase of construction will create approximately 50 new jobs and generate more than $100 million in economic impact. » read more »

December 13, 2007 -- KANSAS CITY – Missouri Governor Matt Blunt today announced a tax credit initiative that will bring at least 180 new manufacturing jobs to Kansas City. The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) has approved state tax credits totaling $805,731 for Johnson Controls Seating Systems, LLC, under the Enhanced Enterprise Zone (EEZ).
