Director John McTiernan Sentenced to 4 Months in Prison
25 September 2007, Washington (By Ray McDonald) -- A federal judge Monday sentenced Hollywood director John McTiernan to four months in prison, after refusing to allow him to withdraw his guilty plea to charges of lying to the FBI about his association with disgraced private eye Anthony Pelicano.
Judge Dale S. Fischer gave the director of such films as Die Hard and The Thomas Crown Affair until January 15 to turn himself in to authorities.
John McTiernan's attorney, Milton Grimes, said he would appeal. » read more »

September 24, 2007 -- SANTA FE — New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson today announced that Felon, a feature film from Tooley Productions and Vincent Newman Entertainment, will be shot in New Mexico.

The Lionsgate remake of the 1957 Glenn Ford film took in $14.1 million on a traditionally slow weekend. Oliver Stone Reportedly Visiting Vietnam Researching His Next Project
06 September 2007, Washington (By Ray McDonald) -- Vietnamese media reported on September 6 that Hollywood director Oliver Stone is in the Southeast Asian nation researching material for his next movie, which will focus on the My Lai massacre.
Oliver Stone had reportedly arrived the previous day in the central city of Da Nang and went straight to the site of the 1968 massacre, in which U.S. troops killed more than 300 Vietnamese civilians, including many apparently unarmed women and children.
The incident provoked international outrage and undermined U.S. support of the war. » read more »
