Pelosi Applauds Provisions in Health Bill to Improve Access to Care, Medications for People Living with HIV/AIDS
November 9, 2009 -- Washington, D.C. -- Speaker Nancy Pelosi released the following statement praising provisions in the Affordable Health Care for America Act (H.R. 3962) that will improve access to Medicaid and reduce Medicare Part D costs for people living with HIV/AIDS. H.R. 3962 passed the House on Saturday by a vote of 220 to 215:
“Effective drug treatments have improved both health and quality of life for thousands of Americans living with HIV/AIDS. Pelosi on House Passage of Expedited CARD Reform for Consumers Act
November 4, 2009 -- Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement today after the House passed the Expedited CARD Reform for Consumers Act, which will move up the effective date for nearly all of the credit card reforms to the date the bill is signed into law. Speaker Pelosi Remarks on Veterans Health Care Budget Reform and Transparency Act of 2009
October 14, 2009 -- Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democratic and Republican Members of Congress joined representatives from Veterans Service Organizations for a photo opportunity on the Veterans Health Care Budget Reform and Transparency Act this afternoon in the Speaker’s Office.
